Coldness and stuborness
There was a little seven year old boy named George Norton who was healed by Mrs Eddy, then known as Mrs. Patterson. This took place in 1866.
George was crippled by 2 club feet and had never been able to walk. His mother had left him on the beach while she went to water the horse.
When Mrs. Patterson (Eddy) saw him she asked him why he wasn't playing with the other children. He lifted the rug covering him and showed her his deformed feet. She, though, didn't accept the current state of affairs, and encouraged the boy to stand. She lifted him up, supporting him until he found that he could stand, and walk!
When his mother returned she found her son walking with Mrs. Patterson along the beach.
